Tour of the interface

Find your way around the app rail, the sidebar and the Today panel.

Before you start

You need a workspace. If you do not have one yet, follow Get started in 10 minutes first.

The tour

  1. Look at the app rail, the narrow column of icons on the far left. Each icon is an app, such as Chat, Mail, Calendar, Tracker, Workflows and Drive. Click one to open it. You only see the apps your role can use.
  2. Right-click an app icon to choose Move up, Move down or Hide from sidebar. You can also drag icons to reorder them. These choices are yours alone and do not change what your teammates see.
  3. Look at the sidebar next to the rail. It lists the pages of the app you opened. In Tracker it shows Your work, All issues, your projects, and the pages of the project you pick.
  4. Use the bar at the top, labelled Search followed by your workspace name, to find things and run commands. Press Cmd+K for the same thing. The next guide covers it in detail.
  5. At the top right, the camera icon opens Meetings and the bell icon opens Notifications. A red dot on the bell means you have unread notifications.
  6. On the right, the sidebar widgets keep context next to your work. The calendar widget shows Today and Needs you, a short list of approvals, tasks and invitations waiting on you. Each row opens the place where you act on it.
  7. Open the account menu to reach Settings, Appearance and Invite to workspace.
