Search with Cmd+K
Jump to an app or record, create things, and open project pages without leaving the keyboard.
Before you start
Cmd+K is the shortcut on a Mac. You can always click the search bar at the top of the window instead.
Use the palette
- Press Cmd+K, or click the search bar labelled Search followed by your workspace name. A box opens with the prompt Search or run a command....
- With the box empty, read the short list. Go to lists Notifications, Settings and the apps in your sidebar. Create lists actions such as New channel, New direct message, New email, New event, New to-do, Start a meeting now, Schedule a meeting, New document, New workflow and Invite teammate. Notifications lists Mark all notifications as read and Clear all notifications.
- Start typing to filter the list. Every word you type must match, and accents are ignored, so “lich” finds “Lịch”. Typing an app’s internal name, such as tracker, also finds it.
- Use the up and down arrow keys to move through results, and press Enter to run the highlighted one.
- To go to a project page, type the project name or the page name. Results show the page with its project beside it, such as Issues under your project, and, in projects set up for sprints, tabs such as Board or Planning under Sprint.
- Read below the shortcuts for matching issues and files. Choose one to open it.
- Type / first to see the commands available for what you have selected.
